On being evil...
As the epitome of evil, I should not be surprised when a student who once engaged willingly in conversation with one such as I (a *gag* teacher) would suddenly stop. Especially when I selfishly document that he skipped my class and "got him suspended" 2 days.
A couple of notes here: never saw the purpose in suspending a student for skipping class when it's obvious that missing the class is the intention all along. Also, I am just a recorder, folks. I record grades, I record certain behaviors that, did I not record them when I knew about them, could affect my job. Hey, I am selfish - what can I say? I like what I do, but it also earns me money, money I desperately need to take care of my family and to pay off the education I got to be able to do this job in the first place! Getting fired is not high on my list of "exciting things to experience!" I won't shock the world by mentioning what exciting things I would like to do!
